Between self-guided tours, guided tours and a show, visitors of all ages can discover the history of the Abbey and the life of the Benedictine nuns who lived there until 2001.
Self-guided tour of the Abbey
Several areas of Saint-Nicolas Abbey will be freely accessible to visitors:
– the Abbess’s parlour;
– the ambulatory;
– the cloister;
– the library;
– the chapter house.
The Abbey shop will also be open throughout the weekend, closing between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Guided tours of Saint-Nicolas Abbey
The Tourist Office offers guided tours to discover the life of the Benedictine nuns within the Abbey, from its foundation in 1627 to the departure of the last sisters in 2001.
During the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the cloister garden, recreation room, cells, cemetery and church, and gain a better understanding of the daily life of the religious community.

Show “Histoires d’ondines, gloire et beauté”
To round off this weekend dedicated to heritage, join us on Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 p.m. for the show “Histoires d’ondines, gloire et beauté”, presented in the heart of the Abbey. This artistic interlude will complement the discovery of this historic site.
